After receiving the news from Master Yoda and a request from Padme Amidala for aid following Count Dooku's raid of the jedi temple on Ilum, the forces under the command of Jedi Knight Joseph Blue were sent to help repair and reinforce the defenses of the Jedi's main source of lightsaber crystals. There are very few people outside of the Jedi Order that even knew the system existed at all, being on far western edge of the galaxy as well as being very difficult to travel to, but for Joe's second in command, this is her second time on the world. The first being a few years after she was rescued from her commander and his Master, and besides the obvious damage the planet had not changed since she last was here. And she also couldn't help but to think back on that day.
Many Years Ago, aboard the small ship Atlantia
Sarah Neilson was still getting used to the galaxy and space travel. Despite being ripped away from everything she had known, she actually feels safe with these two...even after she nearly broke the padawan's nose after she saw him. She was studying in her quarters when the young padawan, not much older than her knocked on the door to get her.
"Sarah, we arrived. you should come back to cockpit. you can see how we can land a ship." Joe replied after she opened the door.
"Alright, I'll be right there." Sarah replied as she went back in to make sure all of her things were secure before following him back to cockpit.
After strapping in, the re entry into the planet atmosphere was uneventful, but the natural high winds of the planet made the approach and landing far more nerve racking than otherwise will be. But once landed, the small group got bundled up, as well as properly geared up before they headed of to the Temple. Once there, Joe was sent in to go alone, after being provided the parts he needed to construct his lightsaber as part of his trail.
During the trip, Sarah had brushed on one of the many holidays celebrated by the many civilizations and races of the galaxy, and came across the Wookie holiday called Life Day. When asking about it, they had asked her about some of the holidays her world celebrated. Being as they were going to icy world, Sarah brought up Christmas. While it wasn't that close to Life Day, she was feeling a bit homesick, and always had enjoy Christmas with her family.
"From where I lived, at least, before I had to go to a special school, we never had snow. So no White Christmases, but that never stopped merry feeling the holiday provided. And the music...I think that hurts the most, besides not being with family, that remembering the holiday brings. I wish I had some to share with you, if only just for you to keep knowledge of. Also, a gift. normally the day has us share gifts...but you guys don't seem to keen to material possessions. And I don't have the money to get you guys one. I can only offer you guys all my thanks for all you've done so far. Maybe one day, I can return all your kindness." Sarah told them while they had set up camp while they were going to wait for Joe.
It took Joe the better part of a day to get what he needed, so when he came out, he found that his Master was asleep, but his master wasn't the person who he really wanted to see. He went to find Sarah, who was still having a hard time sleeping, so was trying to wipe away some tears when he came in.
"oh, hey. welcome back...did you manage to do it?" Sarah asked after seeing him.
He nodded yes, but went to ask "What does one do with the snow on the holiday?"
Sarah looked at him confused for a moment, then suddenly smiled and got her winter clothes back on. and once outside, she began to show him some of things she always wanted to do when she was younger. They tried to have a snowball fight first, but she found out that the Force is a cheater after she showed Joe the ropes. Once she was done getting her butt handed to her in a snowball fight, she told him about building snowmen. it took several tries, but their hard work paid off, and they had a snowman even though it was a bare featured one. One of the last things she showed him, after both are very tired, was showing him how to make a snow angel all the while laughing and giggling.
After going back, Joe presented her with a bigger surprise as he handed her something wrapped in cloth.
"Hey Joe...this is a bit heavy, what is it?" Sarah asked, again confused.
"Open and see." Joe simply replied back.
Sarah gave him a bit of an annoyed look before she did unwrap it, and saw that is was indeed a lightsaber. A bit shocked at this, she looked back at him, and saw that he did still have one of his own.
"You're right. Jedi don't have very many possessions. But our Lightsabers are as close to them as we get. Merry Christmas to you. and I'll help you figure out how to operate it when we get back."
Sarah's shock finally gave in to happiness and she tightly hugged him, which took him a bit surprised, but he did hug her back.
"Thank you for this. I'll be sure to always keep it safe with me."

Present day, Planet side of Ilum
Sarah was glad she had her helmet on, as no one can see the smile on her face, remembering that day fondly. And one of the first days she realized she was falling for her Jedi. it took a lot to stop herself from reaching for that same lightsaber she has hidden on her, disguised as a grenade. And was called back by a Sergeant to go back to helping fix one of the only places Jedi consider precious.
